Ben Murray-Bruce introduces his adopted son, Goodluck (pics)



Senator of common sense, Ben Murray-Bruce has introduced to the public his adopted son, Goodluck by sharing their photos on social media. He took young Goodluck to elderly Senator Lafiagi for words of advice.


"Lovely time with my adopted son. He is so excited about his school & his friends. He also says he wants SpiderMan for Christmas. I love you. His name is Goodluck. He couldn't hide his excitement when I reminded him that he bears same name with a former President. I love you son.

"I told my son that he is not too young to aspire. Senator Lafiagi was also happy to offer words of advice. Ambition is never too early," he wrote.

Recession: Father of two steals 12 wraps of fufu and pot of soup in Bayelsa (photo)




A 35 year old father of two was nabbed for allegedly stealing 12 wraps
of fufu and a pot of soup from a restaurant in Igbogene, Bayelsa State.


According to Guardian newspaper, the Igbogene vigilante group said they
apprehended Kaduna Eradiri at about 2am on Thursday while sneaking into
the restaurant to steal the food.



‘We were on patrol around 2:00am when we got to the Timida School area,
we saw a man at a local food joint eating, we questioned the culprit and
he confessed to have stolen’ a pot of soup, some wraps of fufu and half
basin of garri. He claimed it was the economic hardship that led him to
the heinous act.’



He was presented before the paramount ruler of the area, the Obenibe XI
of Epie Kingdom, Hope Green Adike for intervention.


Hope Green ordered that the father of two who claims he only committed
the act to feed his children, parade the stolen items around the
community, after which he was forced to eat it.



After the owner of the restaurant was contacted she simply said she had
no money to take up the case to the Police, and will therefore allow him
to go freely

Photos of the underground water meter mistaken for bomb at Jabi Lake shopping mall, Abuja



Alarm was raised after an abandoned item thought to be an Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) was spotted under Jabi Bridge, near Shoprite mall, Abuja on Thursday, November 9th.

Operatives of the Police Anti-Bomb Squad arrived the scene and redirected drivers to alternative routes after blocking the access road to the bridge. 

However, checks by bomb disposal experts revealed it was just an abandoned food cooler.

The FCT Police spokesman Anjuguri Manzah,who confirmed the incident said it was a false alarm, adding that the Command deployed its men to search the entire area and no bomb was found.
